Public Advocacy Communication 研究生 Certificate

的 University offers an online Public Advocacy Communication 研究生 Certificate Program for working professionals as well as individuals completing a master of arts in communication. Advocacy is a key communication skill for all careers. This certificate 程序 addresses this need by offering students a well-developed background in the use, 理论, 建设, analysis of public messages while preparing them for success in a variety of careers in public advocacy.

• 的 Public Advocacy Communication 研究生 Certificate Program is a 15-credit-hour 程序 that can be completed entirely online. Individuals have the option of completing the certificate or enrolling in one (or more) courses. 的 certificate can be completed in three to four semesters (excluding summer terms). Coursework from other 大学s 和 universities does not count toward completion of the 程序.
• Coursework includes five courses in the areas of research/creativity, cross-cultural communication, 公共活动, 还有社交媒体. Coursework can be applied toward completion of the University’s Communication MA Program.
• 的 course of study provides training in individual public communication skills, ethical communication principles, strategic message design targeting diverse audiences—和 also provides a foundation for the analysis 和 evaluation of advocacy discourse.
• Upon successful completion of the 程序 requirements, students are awarded a certificate.
• This certificate 程序 is open to eligible students in the U.S. (including the District of Columbia 和 all U.S. 领土). 的 程序 also is open to students in Canada (all provinces). 的 程序 is closed to students residing in countries other than the U.S. 和加拿大，除了美国.S. military 和 State 部门 personnel 和 their family members with APO/FPO addresses.
